The Shape Of A Girl !

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011, our class went to see The Shape of a Girl at the Grand Theatre. The Shape of a Girl is a highly accessible show for teens that looks at the realities of teenage relationships and bullying.  A Girl Named Braidie, a girl in grade 10, came across on the television about a murder about a group of teenagers and a younger girl. Braidie is tied up with bullying and doesn't know what to do. As Braidie lives life, see's that her classmate and her friend are part of a bullying act, Braidie tries to figure out a way to stop the victim being hurt.Trying to live a normal life Braidie gets caught in drama and bullying, but see's it needs to stop ! Longer the bullying happens Braidie finally figures out a way of confessing and helping out her classmate that is being bullied. The Shape of a Girl is a must-see for teens or anyone living.

Kingston Astronaut Visits Q.E.C.V.I !

On Friday, November 18th, 2011 a Atrosnaut named Dr.Andrew Feustel gave the whole Q.E.C.V.I and First Avenue Public School of grade 8's a presentation of his experience going into space for 2 weeks and having fun while doing the job ! As Dr.Andrew Feustel gave a few speeches and 2 videos of going to space and the audience, they loved it ! The NASA Astronaut's family helps him on his practice for going up to spce to the space shuttle. He makes me wanna become a Astronaut and it sounds fun going up to space and looking down on our beautiful earth. From space to earth as Dr.Andrew Feaustel, surely gave the students his experience and gave students second thoughts about becoming a Astronaut ! =)

Digital Book Talk (Book Club Books)

The current book i am reading in my book club group is Feed by MT Anderson, click here for a description. So far in my book, feed is a romance, fight type book. Feed in part 1 is very confusing but you gotta keep reading till part 2, it makes a lot more sense. The main character is Titus, and Violet. Their brains are like computers, one simple word and their brains search it up. Msn for us is called feed to them, they can chat people in their brains, they cant ignore people, or else they will know. Radio to us is in a box that plugs in but radio to them is in their brains and no one else can hear it. Feed is a very extraordinary book !

Types Of Leads !

Have you ever seen a glowing house ? Do You ever wonder whats happening inside ? Someone could be having a lighting problem or an alien abduction, etc. Maybe something magical is happening inside ? Walking by some house randomly glowing by its self would make me think different reasons why it could be glowing. If i ever came across a lighting house i would go check and see whats happening inside. What would you do ? =)

Corn Maze !

On October 25th 2011, from grades 5-8, have went to Wolfe Island corn maze http://www.wolfeisland.com/maze/, from city to the country our classes had tons of fun ! From Slipping and slidding groups came out and in from the maze muddy or not still had fun doing it ! Rubber boots were previded for those who had none ! As groups of students went into the maze, came out muddy, but didn't really care ! Walkie Talkies in hand ready, to check in on people or ask anyone if they have made it out ! Students thank the creater for letting them have fun and have a chance of good sportsmanship ! As leaders took charge everything was a success ! Seeing cats and other sorts of animals having too see them was quit a joy in their eyes !
